Connection sensor app

Issue Solution
The app is not receiving data from the sensor. The sensor needs sunlight to function. Put it in the sun for two minutes. Then see if the connection indicator in the app changes to connected.
Bluetooth and location services may be turned off. In order to be able to receive sensor data, however, Bluetooth must be switched on (iPhone and Android). With Android, the location services are also required because Bluetooth only works on the operating system (see also "App permissions were not granted.").
On Android, Bluetooth only works if location services and Bluetooth are enabled and the appropriate permissions have been granted. The reason for this: Bluetooth scans can be used to determine which other devices are nearby and from this can be used to determine the approximate location of a person.
The app will stop running after a while if it's in the background. To avoid this, there are different solutions, depending on the phone manufacturer. Please see https://dontkillmyapp.com how this works for your device.
I can no longer find the sensor code. Install the nRF Connect app from the app store (a Bluetooth scanning app). Put the sensor in the sun and your phone next to it. Start the nRF-Connect\ app. In the app, press the scan button at the top right. The app lists all the names of Bluetooth devices in your area. One has a 4-digit code made up of letters and numbers. It may take a few seconds for it to appear. This is your sensor code.

Notifications

Issue Solution
I was not notified when I should have been notified. To avoid this, there are different solutions, depending on the phone manufacturer. Please see https://dontkillmyapp.com, how this works for your device.
See the Set Dose Limits article.
Check the sun-a-wear app settings to see if you have dose limit notifications and/or sunscreen reminders turned on.
I got a sunburn despite sun-a-wear. sun-a-wear cannot prevent sunburn.
The reminder to put on sunscreen came at an inopportune time. Maybe our algorithm isn't working properly yet.
