The sun-a-wear app

You are here:

The sun-a-wear app basically offers the following 5 functions:

  • Predictions for the expected UV radiation of the day and the recommended protective measures.
  • Measure and display the UV dose from up to four connected sensors.
  • Setting UV dose limits for each sensor and notifications when the limit is reached.
  • Analyzes of the UV dose over the past few days and months.
  • Reminders to wear sunscreen when you are exposed to a lot of UV radiation or when the protection of the sunscreen you put on has potentially deteriorated.

Begin: Before you can use the app properly, you have to connect your sensor to the app. How to do that in Quick Start read up.

Overview / navigation

These are the basic elements of the sun-a-wear app dashboard:

  • Main menu: From here you can reach all screens and functions of the app. You can also switch notifications on and off, switch on and off whether the app should connect to the sensor in the background and manage your sensors.
  • Current UV index: This shows the UV index at your current location. However, this is not the measured value from the sensor, but rather shows the current maximum radiation intensity. If you click on the weather icon, the UV forecast for the day is displayed.
  • UV dose: The bar shows how high your UV dose is for the current day. The percentage tells you how much of your dose limit is. If you click on the bar, detailed data on the current measurement and the course of the UV dose over the day will be displayed.
  • Connection status: This icon shows you whether the app is currently receiving data from the sensor or not (plug connected or not connected).
  • Sunscreen management: With one click on the sun cream bottle, you can tell the app which sun cream you have applied so that it can better calculate your actual UV dose.
  • Notifications: Current messages are displayed here. When you've read it, you can swipe it aside.
